An aspect of Holocaust history I was unaware of until now.
The Leitz family, of Leica film and camera fame, reportedly wanted this story kept secret – even after the war.
A short film by Californian artist Rich Brimer. Brimer: “During WWII Ernst Leitz II helped dozens (some say hundreds) of Jews to flee Nazi Germany prior to the closing of its borders. This is a short documentary explaining his role.”
